It is the student's responsibility to disassemble and return the loft to VLF (Vermont Loft and Futon). VLF will have two collection sites on campus. One will be located in the courtyard between Ryan and Alumni, the second between Lyons and Joyce.

There will be a table by the exit door to the courtyard with a signout sheet. It's important to clearly sign the sheet. Disassembly requires two hex keys, hex keys will also be at the table.

The collection site will have racks for the bed ends, stretcher bars, safety rail and a container for the hardware and hex keys.

Lofts can be returned anytime during Exam Week, which extends from Wednesday, 05/04/2024 to Wednesday 05/08/2024.

Disassembly is easy, but have someone help lift the top section. A review of the disassembly instructions may be helpful.

1   Remove the mattress.
2   Remove the safety rail from the bed springs (2 set screws). Keep the safety rail brackets attached to the safety rail.
3   Remove the two cross bars from the end sections (4 cap screws). Do not disconnect or disassemble the cross bars.
4   No further disassembly is necessary.

If you plan on being away, please arrange to have someone return the loft for you.

If you have a concern, or would like VLF remove the loft, arrangements must be made two days before you leave campus. There will be a $20.00 charge for loft removal. If the loft is left in the room without arrangements being made, there is a $40.00 charge. If the loft can�t be located, there will be a replacement charge.
